![]() ![]() what floor the pool is on, room service information ,etc. I assume everything is on the TV? That's not really handy if you don't want turn on the tv. One thing to note is that there is no information book about the hotel in the room. I just think it's time for some serious upgrades to the hotel rooms. The location was perfect as the hotel was attached to the convention center. They do have Starbucks coffee makes in the room, which was nice. I do have to say that the beds were incredibly comfy and the comforters were very nice. The towels even left something to be desired and some were nearly thread bare. It's time to upgrade to a toilet with a tank and hand flush lever. ![]() The rooms are well appointed, but I have to say that it's disheartening to have to flush your toilet with your foot in a 4 star hotel. We had reserved 2 king bed rooms and when we arrived, we were told they had no king rooms available. The rooms are very small, but the bathroom is even smaller. I stayed for 3 nights this past week with a co-worker for a conference at the Hynes Convention Center. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Despite what the hotel staff indicated, you can get to the hotel through the mall and through the Hynes Conference Center where the airport bus stops so that you don't have to walk around the corner outside if the weather is bad. It was great that I could get free transportation from the airport via the Logan express and the Back Bay route stopped at Hynes Conference Center, which was right around the corner. So while I would have liked the bathroom to be slightly larger, the room and bathroom were very clean. It's obvious the hotel was built at a time well before we became fascinated with having bathrooms large enough to sleep in, like people spend hours there. For a not on the rooms, they are smaller and the bathrooms are just big enough to take care of business with barely enough space to turnaround. While it was very convenient to be able to have direct access to the mall, it was also quite strange to see mall-goers in a conference area. Probably won't stay here again if a conference is here (if it's my choice).I attended a conference at this hotel that was connected to a large, very nice mall. If we stay here again, for a conference, I would ask for a higher room, no adjoining room and no smoking near by. ![]() Overall the hotel is average: average decor, bed so-so, rooms not as clean as they could be, no place to hang towels in the bathroom (but on the shower curtain rail), and basically nothing special. There is a green option, and it's nice, though a refill of coffee packets, cups and such would be nice from staff instead of no contact over four days and evenings (I did get coffee packets from staff in the hall the second to last day). ![]() We were on the 12th floor of 29 I would say the view may be nice higher, but wasn't that wonderful for us. Yes, over my wife's objections I mentioned to staff. They also smoked, for after coming in late on our last night we discovered all our clothes smelled of smoke the next morning. Midlevel corner room was an "upgrade." Unfortunately the room adjoining had extremely loud guests, who for some reason opened their adjoining door (we found out on our last day). Stayed at the Sheraton over Memorial Day weekend for a conference. ![]()
